Description

It has more than 12 species of game incl. wildebeest, bontebok, zebra and eland roaming the Renosterveld - an indigenous and endangered veld type. We have facilities to do conferences, functions, games drives and team buildings.

Clara Anna Fontein is a private game reserve and country lodge in the Durbanville wine valley, only 20 minutes from Cape Town city centre.

The luxury tented safari camp and Bush Deli is situated in a poplar forest. The venue is perfect for corporate functions, conferences and team building.

Clara Anna Fontein is also a regular location for local and international film shoots.

Tented Camp

Become one with nature and experience Cape Town’s only luxury tented camp. The 18 tents are unique in that they all have en-suite bathrooms and are situated in a poplar forest, in the game camp. The bush breakfasts make it a “corporate must” for companies. Very often eland and wildebeest come to drink water at the stream flowing in front of the tents. The Tent Camp is ideal for hosting birthday and other parties combined with sleepover and breakfast. Special packages are available.

Cottages

Four cottages with 10 luxury en-suite rooms in total, offer spectacular views over the dam and vineyards. Self-catering or fully inclusive packages available. This must be the best kept secret in Cape Town with Zebra's and wildebeest as your neighbours and peace your soulmate.

The Cellar: (15 - 30 guests) The old wine cellar is the perfect venue for groups of less than 30 people. Menus range from braais to formal dinners. Prices range from R185.00pp

The arn: (40 - 100 guests) The Barn is ideal for presentations and informal braais. Prices start from R185.00pp

The Lapa: (30 - 100 guests) To give our guests a truly outdoor and African experience, our Lapa dinners include spit braais and traditional braais from R185.00pp and game specialty menus from R200.00pp.

The Dinging Room: ( 20 - 36 guests ) Sit down lunches and dinner (menus on request)

The Bush Deli: (10 - 40 guests) Enjoy a special breakfast or light lunch at The Bush Deil (also know as The Deck) in the Poplar Bush at our Tent Camp. From R75-00pp

Game Drives:

Pre-booked Game Drives (NB! Minimum of 4 guests required)

Duration: 2 hours, from 10h00 - 12h00 incl. bush brunch or light lunch: R300.00pp

Groups of 10 plus: Duration: 1 hour incl. two drinks and light snacks: R150.00pp

Game drive in combination with a function or conference: Duration: 1 hour: R100.00pp.

The Tented Camp: Our luxury tented camp is situated in the game camp and gives you a chance to experience the great outdoors! All tents have en-suite bathrooms.

Please note: Groups of 10+ only, unless guests form part of a conference /function group.

Special packages available at R600.00pp pn including evening braai, accommodation and breakfast.

If guests are dinning out the evening or attending a wedding at a different venue: R470.00pp pn incl. breakfast.

1 Hour Game drive for overnight guests @ R150.00pp.

Country Cottages: We have 2 country cottages @ R420.00pp sharing, incl. breakfast.

Conference Facilities:

We have two conference facilities where we can host up to 70 delegates per conference.

Full day rate incl. venue and standard equipment hire, lunch and two tea times from R285.00pp.

Accommodation for conference delegates: 49 guests sharing max.

Other:

Weddings: We cater for smaller weddings (20 – 50). Reception and sleepover packages, on request. Venue hire between R5000 – R8000

We have full bar facilities. BAR MAN @ R40.00per hour. Corkage – R20.00 per bottle

Cut-off time for evening functions - 24h00. Please note that the gates will be closed at 24h15!!

Directions

Clara Anna Fontein is 20 minutes away form Cape Town's Waterfront, with only one traffic light between the entrance of the Waterfront and the reserve. This safe conveniently located rural environment is an easy drive on the N1 - past Century City, onto the N7 north and another 10 km before you turn right onto the Vissershok Road towards Durbanville.
